This Selection of Images contains some of my earliest concepts and ideas for the mural as well as the line work drawings that later where digitally colored in. A to scale practice panel on paper and miniatures of the elevations as well and a sample panel Susan Cervantes and I had made to test the paints for the project.

After scanning my final drawings I digitally colored them in. The color palette changed a lot as I decided what paints to go with, but the final palette was a combination of Precita Eyes Paints and Pantone Colors hand mixed and matched my Precita Eyes. Though some things changed in the painting process mostly due to architectural changes these digital images became the final project you see at SFO.

This set of images are of the early stages of transferring the image onto the walls using the Grid Transfer Method, drawing the work directly onto the walls with vine charcoal. After we Finished getting the images up we began flooding the field with color before applying the black line work.

A handful of photos as the scaffold was taken down revealing the finished mural.
